[Open] Arrival。

It was cloudy, so no one below caught Hanbei’s shadow as he drifted along the lengths of the streets – clutching the hovering Pole Star from several meters up high and frowning down at shifting figures and the asphalt.

He liked to think that there weren’t many things that could disorient him – the genius, Hanbei Takenaka! Yet, if relentless, even water could erode stone, and there was little more relentless than the stubborn, ever-present feeling that everything around you was just…wrong. The layout of the city, the terms people used, the shapes of the seats. There was a point, really, when you could no longer chalk it up to the weird habits of weird Westerners—

But, in all likelihood, it was Hanbei who was wrong, not his environment – and he was just trying not to let it bother him that he was a wakizashi trying to fit into the scabbard of a ken.

He gave a start at the dark flicker of movement on a nearby roof, and squinted in time to see a tall silhouette straighten atop it. Had it not been moving so quickly just before, he might not have caught it; its dull and mottled colors shifted as the shadows did.

“Oh! A shinobi!” Or so he was pretty sure, since he’d never seen a non-ninja jump like that! Hanbei gripped the handle of the Pole Star, moving into a dip before the rotating blades slowed and he lowered himself gently onto the Apartment roof, near where the other man was standing. Hmm, he’d never seen this guy before – he definitely didn’t work for the Oda. And those colors didn’t bring any particular faction to mind – which was just as well, anyway. What competent warlord would want a ninja that was instantly recognizable?

“Hey there! Do you have a lord?” he asked, then reconsidered the question. “Or, rather, is he here?”

Sasuke had been observing the colden weather around him. His shoes becoming damp from the snow melting past the leather straps. It was uncomfortable indeed, but he paid no mind to is as his attention was being called on. Green eyes sharply turning about, spotting the decorated war hero below the house he stood above.

“Hey there! Do you have a lord?” he asked, then reconsidered the question. “Or, rather, is he here?”

‘A lord?’ The shinobi noted to himself, some comfort being found seeing as this man clearly understood his train of thought. However, being weary enough as is he kept the answer as light as he could, “Lord? It seems like you are of ranking as well?”

Sasuke jumps down in a quick flash, landing just before the apparent damiyo. The clothing the other wore was elaborate and the shinobi was mildly impressed. However, he couldn’t manage to see any sort of clan marking. Nor, could recognize his armor, face, or weapon. Which was strange in itself, seeing as Sasuke was one of the most informed Shinobi across all of japan.

At this moment in time, the ninja had been situated at his apartment. Q-8, the numbers and letters were alien to him. ‘Ku-e’ it was promptly pronounced to him as these scientists tried escorting and explaining all that went about. Sasuke was never one to make a scene, however he was completely confused as to how the occurrence was even possible. The pod, the houses, the instruments and items all around him were alien and unknown to him.

“Mmm.” Sasuke thought long and hard, left within the vicinity of his apartment. Eyeing around for his supposed ’spouse’ he had some how managed to acquire. There was no sight of her however, and instead he was left fiddling around with the area’s belongings. Fiddling with the kitchen ware, clicking the stove on and off. Amazed at the refrigerators purpose, curious of the box in the room with a glass cover.

For about an hour it went like this, until he managed to get a good outlook of his and his unknown counterparts apartment. Assuming he was free to roam, the ninja slipped the window open sliding out of it only to casually jump out of it and onto the roof of another small apartment. Sasuke stood tall, curious to see if any of the other damiyo made it through the apparent ‘bomb.’ Or at least, for any other wandering persons who might be of more help the the scientists ever were.

The ninja dude sure loved to pinpoint the tiny details, Juu learned that in a second. Considering he wasn’t ‘modern’ anymore, he could confront this ninja with Eevee or one of his Pokemon need be. His danger sense remained dormant, thus the crow relaxed and kept a level head; ninjas broke those who spilled their emotions.

“Well sorry to disappoint, but Masamune’s not here. Nor is anyone else but me. About the closest thing you got to a companion are my fuzzy buddies, but I doubt they’re your targets.” Juu shrugged, playing it off like he couldn’t care, “Unless you mean another group of soldiers who aren’t mine. If so, don’t let me stop ya.”

Juu motioned for the dude to move on, as he meant nothing in his mind. With the new costume change, he resembled a normal warrior, meaning there’d be no way this guy could think he ruled the Saika. Not even close.

Sasuke hadn’t been keeping his eye on the other, just shutting them and relaying on his hearing to take note of the others movements. Of course, when he decided to finally open them. Looking over, the ninja was undoubtedly surprised to see the sudden change.

“Hnn?”

Instead of questioning anything though, he continued on with the conversation as if nothing had happened. Same as this ‘Juu’ now before him, “I wasn’t interested in Masamune perse… Oi, whats your name?”

Score one for the paranoid Saika renegade. And to think, Masamune criticized his hatred for ninjas; they made him a living ninja detector. Kunoichi loved to pay Masamune “visits” during the night, so maybe she came a bit early to first serve him like chopped liver before salvaging the big prize.

…Or not. An actual “ninja,” or basically a guy, hung upside down from a tree branch above him, complimenting his skills for calling him out like that. It kinda stunk it was a man complimenting him, but compliments were compliments. He’d just have to poker face through his disappointment.

“It’s nothin’ really. We can leave it as after my lord’s been a target for many shinobi assassins, I’ve got this little sense in my head that tells me one’s around.” Magoichi mentioned the partial truth; Masamune became popular for death recently, “But you’re rather…open compared to the others. Whatcha even doing here so far out in the middle of nowhere? M’lord’s not even remotely close to here.”

“Ah? You mean Date Masamune?” Oh sasuke did his research, partially why he was hanging around the strange man. Seeing as he knew very well that Masamune had strong ties to the Saika faction. But it seems the guy was a bit dense—hopefully he would stay that way. Seeing as Sasuke still had a job to do.

“Well I was on my way to make an appointment and heard from a little bird that a camp of soldiers had made their way over here.” Sasuke pulled himself back onto the limb of the tree. Pressing his back against the bark, being all casual with the situation.

Magoichi’s “ninja senses” were going haywire. His completely rational hate for those trained in the shinobi arts alarmed him of approaching ninja if they dare came within breathing space, and here came…it seemed like one. He’d stick with that for now.

“Alright pal, I know you’re ‘round here somewhere. Try to kill me and I’ll-” …Right, magic!anon. He didn’t have his musket anymore. He could bluff, though, “shoot ya dead, y’hear?”

“Looks like you’ve found me! The gig is up.” Sasuke was never a man of violence, in fact he’d very much like to avoid his ass getting blasted by a gun. So he popped out from the tree limb. Hanging over to look down at the target he had been asked to look up.

“Haha, you’ve got to be something else if you can tell that I was here though~”
